March 2019 -- I wanted to share images of a quilt I just completed. The owner of this quilt inherited from her grandmothers a lot (a lot!) of quilt squares made with velvet and silk fabrics. She arranged some of them (I did say she inherited lots) in the beautiful design shown here and commissioned me to complete the quilt. The quilt is even more striking than the photo portrays. These women were obviously quite talented, as evident here and in other work of theirs I've seen. I'm sure the family will treasure this. I'm so glad to have been a part of completing what these women started so long ago.
